We made our first beach trip of the year at the end of March. The weather was BEAUTIFUL! We had a picnic with a bunch of our friends...it was so much fun. The kids had a blast and Aaden enjoyed his first ocean experience! =)

Every Easter our family meets at a restaurant for lunch and then we go to someone's house for an egg hunt. This year we had the hunt at my parents house. The kids had a blast with their cousins and I have so much fun watching the kids have fun. Easter is one of my all time favorite holidays. On Good Friday Mike read the story of Christ's death on the cross to Preston and Ella. He was trying to explain why we celebrate Easter. That it's not about bunnies and eggs at all. He was explaining that Christ gave us the greatest gift by dying on the cross for US! And of course that Easter is a day to celebrate that He rose from the grave!!! Well I guess it is sort of a hard story for a 5 yr. old to grasp because Preston was horrified. He is a really sensitive little boy and the story of Jesus dying on the cross was a bit too much for him I guess. What a good Daddy for trying though! =)

Fun stuff! Since My kids can't eat most of the Easter candy that is out there, we (I mean, the Easter bunny)just fill the baskets with toys and surprises. A little costly, but worth it to see them so excited!
